It has been nine years since the last London After
Midnight release. The rabid Lam fans have been
foaming at the mouth while waiting for something new,
perhaps something blue. Well they finally have a
date to mark down in their calendars in regards to a new
release. On October the 26th, Trisol will be
releasing Violent Acts of Beauty. This is
only the European release date, the album will be
available in the US sometime in November, no exact date
as of yet but the minute that becomes available it'll be
posted here.
The European version of the cd contains two bonus
versions of 'Nothing Sacred'. So this track list
isn't going to be identical on the US edition.

Bill Maher, The Cool Pot Head
Real Time, Bill Maher's HBO show, returned for a new
season friday night. The show returned with a
vengeance and Maher is back to lighting right wingers on
fire. Bill is one of the most liberal entertainers
on television but even he said that Michael Vicks should
burn in hell for what he has done. When even the
liberals want you to burn, you know you're lower than
dirt.
If you're to goth for the news and to goth to follow
sports, Michael Vicks is the NFL star who financially
supported a dog fighting ring and was directly
responsible for killing some of the dogs who couldn't
perform. Burning may be to good for him though,
castration would be perfect however. Those who
harm animals are worse than kiddie diddlers, at least
kiddie diddlers tend to hand out candy. Well they
always give me candy, not that I ever get in the car
with them. I never let strangers diddle me on the
first abduction. I also never let them diddle if it's
just cheap candy, I like Sees Candy, classier stuff.

The Cure Makes The Ass hurt
The Cure's newest album has been delayed yet again. It
was supposed to come out in the spring of 2007, it then
got pushed back to a late summer release, then it was
pushed back until October. Well now the album may come
out in April or May of 2008. Fat Bob is still working on
the second disc, and probably eating cupcakes. This
brings up even more questions. Is it logical for band in
this day and age to release a double lp? One would
assume a double lp means it'll cost more, record
stores can barely sell albums for 14 dollars much less
20. And why doesn't he just take the best tracks from
the two lp's and make one solid album? Does anyone else
remember when the Cure actually released solid albums?
It has been awhile. It might have been 1989.
Oddly enough the news gets darker.. go figure.. The
Cure.. dark news...
The re-mastered versions of 'Disintegration', 'Mixed
up', and 'Wish' are also supposed to come out in 2008.
These were originally also supposed to be out by now.
HEY FAT BOB.. drop them cupcakes.. put down the malt

For those who have tickets to the tour coming up.. the
good news is that they will be performing material from
the double lp. Just pray that Robert doesn't drop half
way through a set.

Oh Noes Emilie Autumn had two albums set to be re-released
early this month, but that isn't going to happen.
Enchant and A Bit O'This & That
have been sent back to place where cd's go to be
manufactured due to oopsies. So one can expect a
late August or early September release date.I'm sure there are Autumn fans somewhere out there
with tears running down their faces.
Children are Evil You can give trailer trash all of the money in the
world and even take them out of the trailer park, it
won't save them from being trash. Not only has Britney been putting soda pop in her
kids bottles, but she also has a weird sense of fashion.
Her ex will probably end up with custody of the children
within a year. Imagine Kfed as father of the year.
It just seems as if popping out two kids was to much
strain on Britney's little brain, further proof that
breeding is evil.
The Missing Link? There's a strong possibility that the head boss over
at Suicide Girls is indeed the missing link.
Or maybe he's just the missing brother of these two..

Marilyn Manson in
trouble again Taken from Side-line.com Former Marilyn Manson keyboardist Stephen Gregory Bier
Jr. (aka Madonna Wayne Gacy) claims that the musician
has spent a huge amount of the band's money on nazi
artifacts (SS typewriters, swastika wall tiles, Nazi
government coat hangers owned by Adolf Hitler, a handbag
that belonged to Eva Braun for Dita Von Teese), drugs
(cocaine and Vicodin) and the production of the film
"Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll". Next to
this Manson collected taxidermy models of animals,
including a California grizzly and two baboons, as well
as the full skeleton of a 17th-century male in a
wheelchair. Manson would also have used money from the
band to purchase African masks made of human skin and
the full skeleton of a 4-year-old Chinese girl. Stephen
Bier is seeking a compensatory of more than $20 million.
Bier also says that in 2000, Manson forced the band to
spend a substantial sum of money to pay a video
production company to keep certain video footage out of
an upcoming DVD about the band as this video footage
showed Manson making racist statements and jokes about
African-Americans while feeding his pet snake. And Bier
is also pretty sure that Manson used band money to buy
Von Teese's $150,000 engagement ring and to pay for the
couple's 2005 wedding.
There are always two
sides to a story, and even then there's a possible
mysterious third side. However, considering Manson
has zero credibility when it comes to tact, some of
these allegations are most likely true.
The question is, if he loses
this case will it be the final nail in his coffin?
Or will the fans look the other way and try not to think
of him as a bigot? The problem with blind idol
worship is sometimes people let things they shouldn't
slide. For example, Elvis hooked up with a 14 year
old but how many of his fans called him a stat rapist?
Dateline will probably air a special on how goths are
all racist now.

He has decided to release the ep via myspace. The
ep is totally free to download, that's right, free.
He even included the album art work, all you have to do

wikipedia, it has to have some level of notability.
In the mods opinion this means a review or an article of
sort describing what the site is about and its
accomplishments. What it does not include is the
mere mention of the site on a 3rd party site. In
other words, no Ookie Spookie on wiki wiki. Not
unless the site can manage to get some decent kudos.
Maybe a few teenagers will go out and shoot their
classmates and parents and blame it on OS? This
would of course give the site the notability crap that
it needs in order to be taken seriously. But if
that still doesn't work, well look at the bright side, a
few less teens ;).
New Goth.. no way..
Violet Tears is a band that has been around since
1998, but it appears they've released their first cd
recently. I decided to give it a spin and it isn't
bad, isn't bad at all. It's very traditional
gothic rock like and should please those who miss the
style of gothic rock coming out in the 90's. They
remind me of earlier Faith and the Muse and the Shroud
but with a bit more of an early Cure sound going for
them. A review will follow shortly, most likely.
Fuck the Transformers, here are the Transmorphers
The Divine Madness are featured on the soundtrack to
the new flick, The Transmorphers.You can
get more info by clicking on the band link in the first
sentence. It appears to be a low budget, more
freaky version of the Transformers, looks like fun
though.
Oh and if you live in California, you should vote

Summer is Hell Summer may be fun for the youngin's, they get time
off from school. But for those of us who have an
issue wearing bright vibrant colors, summer can almost
be fatal. So really the only decent thing the
color deprived can do, while retaining their goth
points, is to run around naked in the summer.
Sure, a few children might be scarred for life and a few
may get in trouble at work. But it beats having a
heat stroke, doesn't it?
Eye Candy of the Month There was a time not too long ago where this site
was going to quit doing the eye candy thing monthly and
instead just do it whenever. But the monthly thing
just seems to work better. So a new month is here
and new eye candy is here as well. This month the
OS girls are... The lovely and beautiful, Marvada, Charlie M., and
Genocide. I'm sure those of you with a heartbeat
will enjoy their profiles. But c'mon, does Ookie

feely gloves... and Missus Clause must get awfully cold in the north pole in that outfit. Maybe it's my imagination but it seems like every female figure that McFarlane makes is in some kind of bondage gear or skimpy outfit.

Garbage has a few releases due out in a few weeks. The
first release will be a single called, "Tell Me Where It
Hurts". The single will be released on the 9th of July
and then a week later, the best of will be released.
Then after the best of is released, the dvd video
package will be released. The dvd will most likely
contain every promo video the band has done up until
now. This will be the first time Garbage has released an
official dvd.
The new single is catchy.. It has more in common with
the material on the Beautiful Garbage album then it does
with their last album.

Lara's Baaack To
honor Tomb Raider's 10th anniversary, Crystal Dynamics/Eidos
are releasing Tomb Raider: Anniversary this week.
Anniversary is basically the first Tomb Raider game that
came out in 1996 but with the latest and greatest
graphics and some new details. The game will
be available for the PC as well as the PS2, a Wii
version will come out later.
It's hard to believe that its been over ten years
since the original came out. It's also amazing to
compare the game from 11 years ago to the new one just
to see how far the technology has come.
Other games to look out for this month include, Monster
Madness - Battle for Suburbia, Halo 2 and Resident Evil
4. And yes, these games came out already for the
Xbox but this site caters to the PC gamers out there ;).
New Music is Good Music In Tenebris, Mariyn Manson, and
Pink Turns Blue all have something new for you to buy.

Mourning in Virginia The US is a very gun crazy country, sadly. And
when guns are almost as easy to get a hold of as a pack
of gum, there's going to be trouble. VA. Tech lost
33 of their own on monday morning because of guns and a
young man who went off the deep end. As always,
there really are no answers as to why these shootings
happen other than the shooter being psychologically
damaged in some way or another. So the other
questions pop up, questions such as "How can we make the
schools safe". Added security is the usual answer
because Americans just won't let there be a stricter gun
control. But the Virginia incident is the most
violent school shooting ever, so maybe people won't
forget what happened on April the 16th. Maybe they'll
actually say enough is enough and get the politicians to
enforce tougher gun laws.
Or maybe not..

Metropolis Records.

This isn't a full on reunion though. Oli Wisdom

actually be a band that releases more than a few
singles?

Confusion 101 James Iha, Smashing Pumpkins former guitarist, has
recently been quoted as saying that he turned down
performing with the reunited Pumpkins. This means
the reunion only consists of Billy and Jimmy. Not
much of a reunion now is it?
Rabbit Season Echo and the Bunnymen have recently signed to
Warners Records. The next step is a live dvd
release which is supposedly supposed to be of a recent
live show. So now Siouxsie, The Cure and the
Bunnymen are working on newer material. Where oh
where is that new Sisters of Mercy album? hrmm? hrmm?
Road to Nowhere
The Birthday Massacre are set to re-release their debut
lp, Nothing and Nowhere, again. The album was
originally released a few years back independently.
When the band began to get quite popular they
re-released independently again. But now this time
they're going to re-release it via their US label,
Metropolis.
Nothing Left to Fear Marilyn Manson's last album tanked, but he's a
fighter. Recently he's been doing interviews and
trying to inform the public that the new album is
spookie. Sadly, Manson seems to have caught
whatever Alice Cooper has had for awhile. It
somehow affects the mind of a shock rocker and makes
them think they're still somehow.. shocking.
Parents don't fear Marilyn Manson anymore. They
fear the teachers that their kids have and myspace gives
them the chills.
However, that doesn't change the fact that Manson will
be coming out with a new album. Expect Mansons new
album in June, just don't expect much. Chances are
it'll be about as potent as a 90 year old suffering
from viagra withdrawals.

Bam Bam HIM are currently working on finishing up their new
album and trying to decide which of the tracks will be
the first single. According to the band, they want
Bam Margera to direct the first video they make for the
album. Ville Valo sure spends a lot of time with
Bam Margera, one has to wonder how long it'll be before
their amateur gay porn hits the net. The new album
will be titled Venus Doom and it will supposedly rely
far more on guitar riffs than anything else. A
metal album with guitar riffs, what's next? A new wave
album with keyboards?
Zero Hour Nine Inch Nails latest attempt to regain some fame
has leaked all over the net. Year Zero is an
interesting LP, it isn't groundbreaking but it's
interesting. It's a good thing fans of industrial
appreciate music that sucks because that'll allow them
to enjoy Year Zero a lot more than they would if they
actually expected musicians to create music that sounded
good.To be fair, there are two or three
tracks on the album that may remind the older fan of the
good ol days of Pretty Hate Machine.
Grinded Grindhouse opens today so don't expect to see any
teenagers on the street today or this weekend.
They'll all be watching three hours of mindless
violence, but mindless violence is good for the
developing brain. Rose McGowan looks uber hot in
this flick, even though one of her legs is a gun.

Lil Ol Lost Danzig On the 29th of May, Evillive will be releasing 'The
Lost Tracks of Danzig'. This two cd set will include
unreleased songs that span Danzig's entire career.
These songs weren't used in the past because they were
recorded for specific albums but then didn't fit the
albums vibe or maybe Danzig just thought they were too
precious to release at the time.
It's still all about 'Sistinas', that song is gorgeous.
Alanis Morissette is funny?
Well it is better than the
original, but that isn't saying a whole hell of a lot.
Fergie is about as talented as fungus, but not as
attractive.

Robert Smith
Vs. Ashlee Simpson
It was announced a
day or two ago that Robert Smith is currently working or
planning to work on a duet with Ashlee Simpson.
This will most likely upset a few of The Cure's fans who
consider themselves hardcore or what have you. But
with this news a Cure fan should ask themselves this;
"Why do I care?". The Cure burnt out back in 1991,
it became obvious they were never going to capture what
they did with Disintegration and it was more than
obvious that the darker days were over.
At this point The Cure can't sell out, they're too burnt
out to sell out.
As for the duet, who in the hell is going to want to
listen to a 49 year old man singing a duet with a 22
year old girl? What's next for Fat Bob? Is
be going to do a romantic comedy with Dakota Fanning?
The Cure are the past.. But if you're a fan of their
newer work.. well.. have fun enjoying the mediocrity...

Smashing Pumpkins love you!! The forthcoming LP by the reunited Smashing Pumpkins
goes by the name of 'Zeitgeist'. It has an
electronica ring to it, or maybe not. The album
isn't due out until the 7th of July but such is life.
Apple loves you too!!
Apple will be switching over to drm free, 256 kbps aac
files very soon. So not only do consumers get a
higher quality but they also don't have to worry about
pesky ol drm. There is a catch, there's always a
catch. The drm free songs will be $1.30 while the
remaining drm enabled songs will still be a dollar.
So the consumer will have to shell out an additional
thirty cents, oh noes.

It's best never to look
forward to something even if it has a set release date.
The original March 30th release date has been moved to
some time in June, possibly July. That means the
werewolf theme will come back at that time.
But if you really need a good werewolf story to hold you
over...
Check out
Wolf's Trap by W.D. Gagliani. The story is
actually very different. It involves a werewolf
who happens to be a cop who happens to be on the trail
of a serial killer that's a lot like Buffalo Bill.
The only down side is the author obviously has a thing
for progressive rock.
I guess he doesn't know prog rock is about as cool as
those guys who RP in the park with wooden swords.

Premature Update..
take 1..
The montly update is happening on the 15th instead
of the first for one reason...
Skinwalkers.
Skinwalkers is a new werewolf film set to be
released on the 30th of this month. So rather than
wait until the 1st, it made more sense to plug the movie
two weeks ahead of time. The website isn't
complete and there's no word on just how many theaters
will have the film. But this looks like it'll be
one of the better werewolf flicks this decade. As
long as it is better than 'Cursed', it should be a great
flick.

Lithium Picnic has been posted. You can find it

pretty damn spiffy.
Speaking of Lithium Picnic, it appears that Suicide
Girls is still trying to screw the guy by dragging their
"lawsuit" to Oregon. This of course makes it
difficult for him since it's clear across the country so
now along with legal fees there's traveling fees.
If you have no idea why Suicide Girls is trying to sue
Lithium Picnic, you need to read this..
It would be nice to see some
Suicide Girls boycott, but I don't see it happening.
At the very least it would be great to see the girls
demand a bit more from the company for their shots.
After all, its the girls who make the site what it is.
Well unless you count those terrifically generic
interviews they have on their site as outstanding
examples of journalism. Not this site is
journalism at its finest, but it is free. OS

doing movie scores. But sadly that isn't the case,
maybe his divorce from Dita left him bored? The
band is currently gearing up for their next album which
is called 'Eat Me, Drink Me'. The album should be
out sometime this year. Expect a spring release
and then expect it to be in the clearance bin by summer.
UK Goth legends, Nosferatu will be releasing a new
single in the next month or two. The single will
feature 'Black Hole', 'Bombers', and
'I Don't Wanna Live this Life'. Hopefully this
means the next LP will follow soon after.
As most know by now, Anna Nicole Smith fell down and
didn't get back up. The question now is, who is
that babies daddy. Apparently the large blond
spent most of her career on her back, so no one is
really sure. Hell, it could have been someone who
was in line with her at Krispy Kreme, who knows.. who
cares?
London After Midnight are currently in the studio
recording their follow up to 1996's Psycho Magnet.
Violent Acts of Beauty will probably be out sometime in
late spring or early summer. The newer material
should be the bands most potent work, does this mean
that the clubs will use something new instead of 'Kiss'
and 'Good Girls'? The band will also be
performing at some Zillo festival this year with
Covenant and Emilie Autumn.
Siouxsie and the Banshees are supposedly recording a new
album that is slated to be released on the new label
they signed to. The question is, will it be any
good? The band kind of lost their edge a few
albums before they called it quits. So did the
time off heal their creativity or will this be nothing
more than a nostalgic romp through ear candy lane?

Is it me or is January
just a really long month?
A few small additions are about to be added to Ookie
Spookie. You can think of these small additions as
extra sprinkles or you can see them as more if you like.
Nocturnal Fix has reverted back to its original name and
is now Eye Candy again. Nocturnal Fix sounded
spookie but it also wasn't very informative as to what
one would find by clicking on it. But the other reason
it had to change is because there's now going to be more
of a behind the scenes approach. To start off with
there's now going to be interviews. The first
interview is going to be a surprise but I like giving
hints. The first person to be featured in the
interview section is a man who a well known photographer
in the fetish modeling scene.
You may also notice that some of the girls on OS now
have a brief little q&a attached to their profile.
This gives each profile some soul by allowing the viewer
to get to know a little about the person in the shot
they're looking at.
Get used to small changes every now and again if you dig
this site.
OS isn't even a year old yet and it has a lot of growing
to do.

A lot of dirty lil
stories are coming out in regards to Suicide Girls.
1. They're allegedly selling shots of the models they
feature to other sites without the consent of the
models, they also appear not be giving the model a cut.
2. The president and co-founder has gone on the record
for saying Muslims are bad people and is a neocon...
That's not cool
3. He's also been accused of mistreating some of the
models.
The problem with this is the hypocrisy involved.
Suicide Girls sells itself as some big alternative
female empowering type of website. But if these
accusations are fact, SG is crap.
Another issue with SG is that they set the standard for
the sites that emulate them. SG apparently only
pays the girls they feature $200.00, this may have made
sense when they first started but it doesn't make sense
anymore. They charge people about 10-15 a month
for access. I don't have the numbers in front of
me but according to a few articles I've read, they're
making bank. So there's no reason for them to be
paying such a low amount, especially since they want
don't want the girls working for others.
Of course there always going to have girls who'll want
to be on their site, just for the sake of being able to
say they're a Suicide Girl. And there's no law
against being cheap when it comes to paying these girls.
So it comes down to this, it is up to the model to
decide if she wants to work for them. My advise to
any model out there who may be reading this, hold out.
Hold out for a project that'll show you more respect and
won't sell your work to others without your permission.
But if you still want to work with SG, get it in writing
that they will not sell your shots to others.
Because remember, once these shots are on the net,
they're on the net for good. So you may as well
make the most you can and be treated fairly.
And shame on you Suicide Girls..

According to
the blog on the Cruxshadows website, Rachel, the violin
player, will be leaving the band after the Dreamcypher
tour. She'll be missed, she gave the band that
extra spark and she jammed on that violin during shows,
it was fun to watch. As for her reason for
leaving, it looks like she found a good person to settle
down with and felt the touring was to excessive while
trying to retain a serious relationship. Rachel
wasn't a founding member, if I remember right, but she
has been in the band for a long time. Its always
sad to see a member who has been with a band for awhile
leave the band. But at least its on good terms and
for a totally valid reason.

I heard most of the newest album by the Spider Lilies tonight. The Spider Lilies is a band created by Stacy Campbell, Stacy Campbell was the guitarist of the Cruxshadows for awhile so some of you may be familiar with who she is. But don't expect her band to sound anything like the Cruxshadows. The Spider Lilies are a gothic rock act with ethereal elements and she sounds really good. In fact, I may even have to pick the album up once I'm not broke anymore.
And ya know.. they actually know how to use a guitar.. go figure.. ya know.. a goth band using a guitar.. totally shocking.
Speaking of bands that know its best not to focus entirely on mind numbing loops...
Dancing Ferret will be releasing this on the 7th of November..
I've been waiting for this one for quite awhile. The Last Dance have released several albums over the last decade. Sadly, most of them went out of print, but they're on a really kick ass label now and that label has decided to re-release some of the old material.

honor Tomb Raider's 10th anniversary, Crystal Dynamics/Eidos
are releasing Tomb Raider: Anniversary this week.
Anniversary is basically the first Tomb Raider game that
came out in 1996 but with the latest and greatest
graphics and some new details. The game will
be available for the PC as well as the PS2, a Wii
version will come out later.
But
other than women who get off on celebrity gossip, does
anyone care? Rumor has it she wants to be a
pop princess again but chances are the only videos we'll
